Ice Fishing on Lake Hattie

Ice fishing on Lake Hattie offers outstanding action for crappies, pan fish, and northern pike. Crappies are especially active on the lake during certain times of the day, especially mornings and late afternoons/early evenings. And when they’re on, the action is as fast as you can keep up with! Tuck-A-Way keeps an ice road plowed out to the large sand point that opens up to the main part of the lake, making it easy for our guests to get to their favorite hard water spot on Hattie. We also offer a heated fish cleaning house so you can get your shore lunch ready for the table in comfort.

Sledding, Skating, and Outdoor Family Fun

Bring your sleds! Bring your ice skates! Whether you come for a week or just for the weekend, a winter vacation with us at Tuck-A-Way Resort offers something for every member of the family. The kids will love sledding down the various hills in and around the resort. From steep and wicked fast for the daredevils, to gradual and tame enough for the little ones, our sledding hills will get the kids outside for some good ol’ fashioned fun and fresh Northern Minnesota air. And speaking of “ol’ fashioned fun,” what could be more of a traditional wintertime sight in Minnesota than our ice rink? Our rink is found right on Lake Hattie, in the shallow part off-shore where the docks sit in summer. We’re talking old-school ice skating on a frozen lake, what could be better than that? Call us at (218) 587-4725 for reservations!
